Pressed from selected baladi olives grown in the highlands of Hasbaya, Lebanon at an average elevation of 750 meters. The groves benefit from long sun exposure, cool mountain nights, and a dry climate away from coastal humidity.
Cold-extracted within hours of harvest to preserve the oil’s natural freshness, aroma, flavor, and polyphenol content.
100% mechanically extracted. Nothing added, nothing removed. Each bottle comes from a limited production lot and is linked to a traceable lot number.
Why Besten Alya?
Hasbaya is home to Lebanon’s most respected olive groves. Located on the slopes of Mount Hermon in southern Lebanon, the region benefits from altitude, limestone-rich soils, pure spring water, long sun exposure, and cool mountain nights that help olives develop character and complexity.
For generations, olive cultivation has been part of daily life in Hasbaya. Today, modern cold-extraction mills spread over the town, allow crops to be processed within hours of harvest, helping preserve the freshness, aroma, and distinctive qualities of the oil.
Besten Alya was created to bring this origin to the modern Lebanese table through curated selections of limited seasonal releases.
